The Macallan 12 Years Old matured in sherry oak casks

If you first meet the Macallan's Fine Oak -series, I wouldn't be surprised to see reactions like "what's the fuss?". But this one! This is yummy.  Colour is dark amber, warm. When you nose it you find apricot, sherry, fruity notes as well as honey, sweet and oaky aromas. After a while you could smell a used teabag. Take a sip and the full-bodied whisky has sweetness with fruity, peach, raisins, vanilla, melon and sherry notes. Long, fruity and sweet finish/aftertaste. Points: 23+24+23+23 = 93 points which is rating 9. Let the Fine Oak's be alone and choose the other one's....
