Banff 35 Years Old (Rarest of the rare by Duncan Taylor)

I'm glad that I had the chance to taste this closed and demolished distillery's whisky. This was 35 years old and it was distilled in 1975 and bottled in the Spring of 2011. The colour was quite similar to white wine. The scent from the glass was overwhelming: it was spicy, sweet, gingery and also toffee and coffee. Whisky itself was full-bodied and there were lots of fruits, oils and honey. The finish and aftertaste was sweet, fruity and very very long. I tasted the whisky even after an hour. Great whisky. Points: nose 23 + taste 23 + finish and aftertaste 23 + balance 23. Total points: 92 (9).
